For those still fooled about global warming

Dear editor,
Recently we heard from 3 individuals who are convinced that global warming is a fact and that un-believers are stupid (un-educated). For those who choose to believe the “facts” presented by scientists and media invested in a purported problem and seeking data to match their hypothesis, I would say their facts and motives deserve examination.
A fact is a truth that can be proven. There are no facts in the entire global warming debate. Those “scientists” and “enlightened ones” believe that consensus creates fact. If that were so then the earth would still be flat. In order for their argument to be valid you would have to prove the following: 1. That the earth is actually warmer. 2. You would have to prove that somehow man is causing that temperature increase. 3. That a warmer earth will lead to environmental destruction and our end.
Here are some real facts related to earth’s temperature and climate. 1. The sun provides the heat that maintains the earth’s temperature. 2. Our position in the solar system and atmosphere helps maintain our climate. 3. The temperature in Mars has changed in recent years melting the polar caps.
What facts do the climate change alarmists cite that would cause man made global warming? It’s our output of carbon dioxide! Twenty years ago that same carbon dioxide was causing global cooling. They site records from bubbles in ice and supposed temperature changes over the last 400,000 years. My question: Why did temperatures rise before if not by man’s hand? Was there some large industrial revolution 150,000 years ago?
Finally, the climate change solution they propose has nothing to do with solving anything. Their solutions are designed to destroy what is left of our economy. Endlessly increasing government regulations and taxes, we see entire industries collapsing (oil, gas, coal, automobiles) costing millions of jobs.
Ask them how many real jobs will be lost as they implement their green jobs? Loss of life is a real concern in today’s economy if we continue to increase our costs of food and fuel spawned by their policies and regulations.
Instead of wrecking our whole economy based on a fantastic science fiction theory (man-made global warming), maybe we ought to look at the motivation of those seeking to fatten their budgets and invent catastrophe!
The sun is the culprit, not man. Fix that!
